Bloomsbury welcomes Soho 25 March 2015 06:30 PM

On Wednesday 25 March 2015 we present an evening of Soho Memory Films and Discussion in the Birkbeck Cinema, 43 Gordon Square, at 18.30 – 20.30 followed by informal drinks to about 21.15.

Angela English (Research Officer, London Screen Study Collection) presents a miscellany of Soho films from the London Screen Study Collection. This is the centrepiece of the evening; it will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Q & A.

A particular discussion focus will be on how Soho has been in constant mutation and re-invention during the twentieth century – as is also today the case for ‘London’s Most Creative Quartier’.

This event is free of charge and has been devised and organized by Birkbeck’s inter-disciplinary VASARI Research Centre, together with the London Screen Study Collection, based at Birkbeck, The Museum of Soho, and EVA Conferences.
